About Tri-Tronics
Excel Automation LLC has been an Authorized Distributor of numerous products for Industrial Automation for 30 years. It is headquartered in Brunswick, OH.
In November, 2017, Excel Automation acquired Eagle Sensors & Controls, an Authorized Distributor of similar products for Industrial Automation. Eagle Sensors & Controls is a Division of Excel Automation. Eagle Sensors & Controls has been in business for 41 years, and has offices in Lenexa, KS. and St. Louis, MO. The synergy of this union of these two, experienced companies serving the industrial market, is a significant benefit to our combined customer base.
Our sales staff are thoroughly trained on the products, and knowledgeable about their capabilities. This experience allows us to solve some of the most challenging applications in the industry.
Tri-Tronics is a manufacturer of photoelectric and ultra-sonic sensors and controls. Tri-Tronics is located in Tampa, Florida, and has been in business since 1954. Tri-Tronics offers a diverse range of photoelectric-based sensors, with technologies including visible LED light sources, infrared LED, Ultra-violet LED, and Laser. Tri-Tronics also offers ultra-sonic sensors for applications that require performance that is only achieved with that technology. The Tri-Tronics products range from high-performance, fully-featured, to lower performance, smaller size, simpler, cost-effective. The selection from this range of products is purely to meet the needs of the application and/or the preferences of the user.
Tri-Tronics newer product design incorporate several menu driven features. Tri-Tronics Auto-set is an automatic initial set-up of the sensor, which develops an optimal setup, independent of operator skills. Remote Auto-set allows the Auto-set to be done from remote, without having to physically touch the sensor, where the sensor may be inaccessible. Tri-Tronics Auto-Trac and LST are features that maintain the optimum initial setup over time, given variances in the operating environment. The Lock feature prevents unintended changes in the current settings. A Tri-Tronics newer feature is Anti-crosstalk, offered on products, where because of their intended operation, multiple sensors may be installed in close proximity to one another.
Most sensor applications benefit from using a Tri-Tronics sensor with fiber-optic cables. This often improves sensor performance, allows installation in space-constrained applications, and allows the sensor to easily accessible to the user. Tri-Tronics offers fiber-optic cables in both glass core as well as solid plastic core. The glass core offer higher performance and allow the use of both visible and IR LED sources. The plastic core are can only be used with visible LED light sources, and are the low-cost alternative to glass core.
Tri-Tronics control modules range from simple power supplies, to power supplies with either single or dual relay, or power supplies with single or dual triac output. Tri-Tronics also offers logic modules, which are both power supplies as well as offering 5-25 different selectable logic functions in a single module. The Tri-Tronics Product Inspection Module is a stand-alone product inspection module, that co-ordinates multiple sensors in the look-now inspection task, and directly controls the load.
