  1. LEVEL SENSING & CONTROL SYSTEMS OVERVIEW:

Excel Automation offers the following selection of complete, stand-alone Systems, for level sensing applications of virtually any media, i.e., liquids, slurries, and discrete parts.  These Systems are designed to be easily integrated into your existing production equipment.  Depending on which System is selected, we provide any or all of the following functions in a single unit:  level sensing, numerical display, level control, visual and/or audible signaling, high/low level alarm signaling.  Sensing ranges are available from just a few inches, up to 26 feet.  Both analog as well as discrete sensing Systems are offered.  Analog sensing provides information about the level of the media at all locations, whereas discrete sensing provides knowledge of the level only when it reaches a given, adjustable set-point or set-points.  Each System is completely wired, and only requires physical mounting of the sensor over the application, and mounting of the enclosure to the wall or bulkhead.  The only power input into the System is industry standard, 110 vac.  Systems with controlled outputs can additionally be used to provide an output to existing equipment and/or equipment plc inputs to alter operations of that equipment.

System # 1-L: (analog sensing, numerical display; monitoring function)

This System includes the appropriate analog sensor for monitoring the level of a media, for all existing levels, power supply, scale-able display of the level in required units of measure, enclosure, and interconnecting cables.  Example:  a tank with manual level control, where visual display of the existing level in the tank is desired.

System # 2-L: (analog sensing; numerical display; visual and/or audible signaling/alarms; controlled output function)

This includes all of the components of System 1, and up to four (4) discrete, programmable set-points with visual and/or audible signaling at each of the specified levels.  Each of the 4 set-points has a corresponding, dedicated output.   This System can be specified either for monitoring of existing level control applications where alarm points need to be added, or can be used to control the level in the equipment responding to achieving any specific, single discrete set-point.

 

System # 3-L: (System # 2-L, plus wireless)

This System includes all the components of Systems # 2-L, as well as components to wirelessly document/date-time stamp into free software, each event throughout the production day, and provide for it to be analyzed for overall manufacturing efficiency.

Options include:  notification by e-mail or smartphone of critical events; wireless control to provide the ability to send commands back to the machine to alter, or cease its operation.

System # 4-L:  (discrete sensing; visual and/or audible signaling; controlled output function)

The System includes a discrete sensor, power supply, enclosure, visual and/or audible signaling of the level, controlled output, and respective interconnecting cables.  The System could be function for either level control or monitoring/alarming, based on which sensor function is required and specified.  This System is for applications where sensing/monitoring is only required corresponding to discrete levels (as opposed to analog levels).

Excel Automation offers the following selection of complete, stand-alone Systems, for roll diameter sensing applications The System is suitable for nearly any material, independent of material color, material composition, and opacity.  These Systems are designed to be easily integrated into your existing production equipment.  Depending on which System is selected, we provide any or all of the following functions into a single unit:  roll diameter sensing, numerical display, diameter control, visual and/or audible signaling, min/max diameter alarm signaling.  Sensing ranges are available from just a few inches, up to 26 feet.  Both analog as well as discrete sensing Systems are offered.  Each System is completely wired, and only requires physical mounting of the sensor at the application, and mounting of the enclosure to the wall or bulkhead.  The only power input into the System is industry standard, 110 vac.  Systems with controlled outputs can additionally be used to provide an output to existing equipment and/or equipment plc inputs to alter operations of that equipment.

Excel Automation offers the following selection of complete, stand-alone Systems, for linear speed sensing applications of nearly any conveyor equipment.  These Systems are designed to be easily integrated into your existing production equipment.  Depending on which System is selected, we provide any or all of the following functions into a single unit:  speed sensing, numerical display, control, visual and/or audible signaling, min/max speed alarm signaling.  Each System is completely wired, and only requires physical mounting of the sensor to the application, and mounting of the enclosure to the wall or bulkhead.  The only power input into the System is industry standard, 110 vac.  Systems with controlled outputs can additionally be used to provide an output to existing equipment and/or equipment plc inputs to alter operations of that equipment.

System # 1-S: (basic System; adjustable rate; no numerical display)
